The team of advisors for goGopalgo has been assembled in order to leverage their years of experience and network as well as their ability to work probono towards creating a new credit scoring mechanism as well as to enable education for domestic, migrant workers children.
Aman Kapoor
A teenager who is a curious and spirited individual passionate about enabling financial & educational inclusivity. He is currently a senior at the American School of Bombay aspiring to engage himself in economics, international relations, finance and philosophy with modules in technology to achieve the above. Aman is the founder of goGopalgo under advisement from subject matter experts who are part of this team
Hemang Raja
Hemang is an MBA from Abliene Christian University, Texas, with a major in finance. He has also completed and Advanced Management Programme from Oxford University. He has vast experience of over 37 years in the financial services industry and is a credit expert. He has served on the executive committee of the board of the National Stock Exchange of India limited and also served as a member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the BSE Limited. He is currently on the board of IDFC First Bank as an Independent Director and also a Shareholder Director on the board of Multi Commodity Exchange of india.
Atul Kumar
Atul is the CEO & Managing Director of Baiju Finance. He is a resilient and compassionate professional who comes with a rich and vast experience of more than two decades in NBFC, Micro Finance, Capital Markets, Asset Finance, Insurance with a high focus on underserved customers and markets. He is the founder of Baiju Finance with a vision to ensure financial inclusivity for all Indians and accordingly chose to focus Baiju on Uttar Pardesh, Jharkhand and Bihar – which are very underserved markets in India. He is also actively working with the respective governments of these States as well as policy makers in the center to create frameworks that will enable financial education as well as accessability for the underserved.
Prashant Thakkar
Prashant has been a banker for over 25 years and in the last decade has been a rainmaker in the microfinance industry of India. He spearheaded Centrum Microcredit Limited and under his leadership this book grew to USD 65 Million, with USD 12 million in revenues, a team of 900 people across 9 states in India and a customer base of over 200000. Prashant was an elected member on the governing board of the industry association MFIN (Microfinance Institutional Network). He has also been the Chair of the Fintech for Inclusion Taskforce. Prashant has been very actively involved on policy advocacy and ideation with the Governments, Central Banks and Policy Think Tanks. He has also worked closely with ADB & IFC on microcredit for emerging markets.
Pratyush Kumar
Pratyush is the Founder of Prabisha Start -up Network which provides young Indians the opportunity to have a incubating platform that also acts as a networking framework to get them connected to entire value chain. Pratyush has over 22 years of professional experience in IT Solutions, Digital Transformation, Digital Marketing. Established in 2018 his company, Prabisha Consulting now has over 300 clients spread across India, Europe, USA, Middle East and Singapore. Pratyush is also the founder of NDCHRC, a philanthropic organization devoted to ensure that underprivileged children have a framework to access education and healthcare.
Sunita Manwani
Sunita is an accomplished, energetic and result orientated finance professional with over 23 years of extensive experience in finance, operations, treasury, investor relations and change management within startups and large corporate spread across multiple geographic locations. A Chartered Accountant and a Certifies Public Accountant (USA) by profession with a track record of exceptional performance. She has held a variety of within finance, private equity, housing finance and is currently the Business Head, Lending with Nearby Technologies Private Limited where she is leading the drive to make credit available to the micro and small unorganized businesses.
Gopal Kumar Jha
Kumar is a domestic migrant worker who migrated from the state of Bihar to Mumbai (Maharashtra) in 1997. He stayed with extended family members and initially worked on a building site and over time got himself an extended education and became a certified electrician. Over time he worked with several companies as an electrician and then formed his own company called Indian Electricals & Engineering Company. He is also a Board Director of Electrical Contractors Association of Maharashtra and a Member of The National Safety Council of India. He is a very active member of his community and works with all stakeholders to ensure that this community participates in the GDP growth of India and that they have access to economic, education and healthcare facilities. He is a key advisor to goGopalgo as he has the pulse of the domestic migrant community and their aspirations as well as their challenges and needs.
Sumeet gupta
Chief trustee at learners academy has always had a vision to provide the best education keeping the needs of tomorrow to children. He fundamentally believes that the children of today are the leaders of great India tomorrow and children with a strong education as well as having the ability of tolerance and acceptance of different views is the greatest foundation we can give the country.
He is a graduate in commerce and is a serial entrepreneur with experience in various fields including logistics, real estate, exports, fintech solutions and he takes pride in devoting his time and resources to work towards educational inclusivity for all children in India.
